My FT-100D YAESU quit around the end of August. I thought that it had been hit by lightning.
I contacted YAESU about repairing it and they informed me that they no longer supported this radio. I then checked the web and found many blogs that said that if the Output transistors were bad, they no longer were available and the FT-100D was now junk.
I sent it to AES in Milwaukee for an estimate on the 5th of August. It was retruned, repaired on the 27th. They replaced a 88 ohm 2 watt resistor.
While it was in their care, I figured that I should replace it. I bought the KENWOOD TS-2000 all Band all Mode Receiver and it arrived on the 28th of August.
